The Food Forest Garden at the Church of the Good Shepherd is a collaborative creation-care and community initiative.
Partnership & Design
The garden was designed and built in collaboration with the Grayson Permaculture Group, a partner of Grayson LandCare.
Purpose & Benefits
The garden serves multiple community and environmental purposes:
- Beauty & Meditation: Provides a tranquil, reflective space on the church grounds.
- Community Food: Grows fresh food for the local community.
- Permaculture Demonstration: Models ecological design principles that improve soil health and demonstrate sustainable methods.
- Wildlife Habitat: Provides and connects critical habitats for local wildlife.
- Community Building: Brings together a diverse group of people dedicated to caring for the land.
