Synthesis

A shared identity. The parish is both Lutheran and Episcopal, and this shows up directly in the calendar. Services are labeled by liturgy (Episcopal Holy Eucharist, Morning Prayer, Lutheran Service of the Word, Lutheran Holy Eucharist, lay-led worship), and they draw on clergy and lay leaders from both traditions. Worship supported by governance and care of the place. The many Yoga at COGS sessions, Oktoberfest, Blessing of the Animals, Love the Church Day, Hospitality Committee and Zoom options for Sunday worship and Bible study show an effort to open the campus to the wider Galax area.
