An overview of visitor logistics and expectations at good-shepherd-galax.
- Worship Format: Services are liturgical (~1h 15m), following the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer and ELCA Book of Worship. Services are in-person and on Zoom (request link from john.carriker@gmail.com). Lay leaders conduct non-Eucharistic services when visiting clergy are unavailable.
- Communion: All baptized believers are welcome. Gluten-free wafers are available. Communicants may choose intinction or drinking from the chalice, or receive in their seats.
- Parking & Accessibility: Upper level parking has handicap spaces and step-free access to the main doors, nursery, and bathrooms. Lower level parking requires climbing stairs.
- Seating: Flexible cushioned chairs are used instead of pews. Front rows are reserved for those with mobility aids to facilitate emergency exits.
- Children: Welcome in services. An unattended nursery (toys, sink, changing table) is available.
- Dogs: Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome in the sanctuary; mats are available in the Narthex (see page-3192265).
- Social: Dress is casual. Visitors may opt-out of being introduced and will not be singled out.
