• Highlights include Oktoberfest, Christmas Eve, welcoming new members, and celebrating 20 years in the sanctuary.

Connection with Bishops

• Visits from ELCA Virginia Synod Bishop Milton and Episcopal Bishop Karin MacPhail (Southwestern Virginia).

Serving Our Neighbors

• God's Work, Our Hands: On Sept 13, 2026, prepared 44 personal care kits for Lutheran World Relief.
• Hunger & Community: Local school backpack program; a fish fry for the local rescue squad; and 204.5 lbs of pasta donated in Sept 2016.
• Local & Global Care: Highway cleanups; supporting ABCCM in Asheville; and connection with the Dunor family in Liberia.

Prison Pup Program

• Inmates at Bland Correctional Center train service dogs for St. Francis Service Dogs. COGS supports this program with toys and monetary donations, contributing $3,909.00 in 2026.
